Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a co-enzyme found in every single cell in the human body. You can think of it like your body's power source: it plays a major role in creating energy, detoxing damaged cells and regenerating healthier cells.
NAD IV's are administered slower than a typical IV, expect the infusion to last around 2 hours. During the IV recipients can often feel a variety of sensations. Some people experience mild discomfort, achy or nausea, but we can slow the infusion down and give anti-nausea meds so you are comfortable. The discomfort comes from the NAD repairing your damaged diseased cells (apoptosis). We recommend eating something light or fasting two hours before treatment.
NAD is one of the more expensive infusions usually ranging from $1 per mg or more. The reasons: one- the amount of time and close monitoring by the healthcare professional, two- the product itself is expensive. It is recommended to start with an initial dose of 500mg once a week for 4 weeks, then a maintenance dose every month or two.
